Dear sisters and brothers,
To each and everyone I would like to extend my best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2017.
May the year 2017 bring into your homes health, peace, joy and success.
I also want to extend these wishes to the members of your families and to all your loved ones.
The year 2016 has come and gone, leaving us with many grounds for concern.
The year 2016 was also the year of Mercy, and the many blessings bestowed upon us on this Jubilee Year have brought us some consolation and alleviated this anxiety.
A friend told me in his best wishes for the New Year to consider the apparent looming crisis that the events of 2016 suggest as the Chinese word crisis. The word crisis, in Chinese, is composed of the two words “danger” and “opportunity“.
If, in our life as members of the SCAA, we remain faithful to the line that is ours, we will know how to make ours the message given to us by Saint John in the readings of the Octave of Christmas, and overcome dangers and seize opportunities.
May God keep us in His love.
Together, we will make the SCAA great, grow to be in a position to help each of its members develop fully, and gradually make a significant contribution to the Church, in Senegal and in the United States.
